If you want to accelerate your songwriting skills, whether you’re brand new to it or already writing independently, this may be an excellent camp for you! Participants will have the opportunity to start and/or advance their music theory knowledge, challenge their artistic expression through various literacy and musical exercises, work on sharing their work with others, and learn from different coaches and teachers throughout the week. Come prepared to play, sing, and connect meaningfully with other young musicians.

Campers can expect to learn about the history of the ukulele through engaging activities, learn basic chords and strum patterns, as well as the parts of the ukulele as they paint and build their very own uke. Band Camp

Campers should come excited to advance their existing musical skills while playing with others! Participants will learn ensemble skills, how to create a groove and stay in the pocket, how to balance sound levels in a group setting, increase their rhythmic consistency, all while connecting meaningfully with other young musicians. We will strive to have a drummer, singer, bassist, and guitarist/uke player/pianist in each group, but group arrangements will be made dependent on sign ups.

Restorative Yoga

Take a well-deserved break and immerse yourself in an hour of relaxation during an incredible restorative class. This gentle and soothing practice is designed to work the connective tissues in your body, release tension, and induce a state of deep relaxation for both body and mind.

During this class, you will be guided through a series of restorative yoga poses that are specifically designed to target the deeper layers of your body, including the connective tissues and fascia. These poses are held for an extended period of time, allowing your body to fully surrender and release any accumulated tension or stress.

The use of props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks will ensure that you are comfortably supported in each pose, allowing you to fully relax and let go. As you settle into each posture, you will be encouraged to explore a state of mindfulness, cultivating a deep sense of presence and self-awareness.

Local musician and owner of Resonate Music Therapy, Marissa Ferl, will be performing [type of music] while we move through an invigorating Vinyasa flow, with poses to open our frontline and release tension in the body.

As the music fills the room, you will find yourself naturally syncing your breath and movement with its rhythm, creating a harmonious union between body, mind, and sound.

Yoga for People Experiencing Burnout

Thrilled to be able to offer this class! We all have a lot on our plates. Whether you're entirely burnout or in the beginning stages, this class is for you. Resonate is partnering with Alexa Franck to provide this class. Alexa is a phenomenal local certified yoga teacher, who brings a sense of calm and surety to each class she teaches. Class cost per participant is $15. Bring your own mat, please. 

Childcare is taking place in the form of a music class for kids upstairs! Cost per child is $15. By registering, we'll be able to group kids by age and ensure we have enough hands on deck to ensure everyone has a great time.
