“Helping people of all diagnoses celebrate their individual strengths and work on goals that are important to them, is my primary focus in treatment. I prioritize the client’s needs and wants in a session in order to create a safe and motivating place for growth. Being curious and open each day to what a client might bring into the room is the basis for how I operate. As a person-centered therapist, building rapport and trust in the space is my foundation to successful treatment.”

Reid is from Nashville, TN where she studied music therapy with her principal instrument in voice. Reid has had many different population experiences throughout her career, but has a specific passion and focus on developmental disabilities in all stages of life.

Reid has been at Resonate for eight years and is currently completing her clinical fellowship
year here for speech therapy.

On her approach within therapy, Reid says: “My approach to speech therapy is client-focused. This means considering client interests, working closely with families, evaluating cultural considerations, and providing an open therapeutic relationship to encourage collaboration and success towards goals. I care about holistic communication. I love fostering a neurodiversity affirming approach, including communication of all types that feel affirming to my clients.”
